It&#8217;s millet that&#8217;s in bird seed, not quinoa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"fn\">As promised:\u00a0A couscous recipe that I&#8217;ve modified to quinoa to be gluten free. Even if you eat gluten, you should try it. It&#8217;s easy and good.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"fn\">Recipe: Curried Quinoa Salad<\/h2>\n<h4 class=\"ingredients\">Ingredients<\/h4>\n<ul class=\"ingredients\">\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2\u00a0c quinoa<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 pound green beans<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\u00a0c chopped seeded cucumber<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2\u00a0c shredded carrots<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2\u00a0c dried currants<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4\u00a0c sliced toasted almonds<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4\u00a0c chopped fresh parsley<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"ingredient\"><strong>Yogurt Dressing<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2\u00a0c plain yogurt<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/4\u00a0c olive oil<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">2 tbsp fresh lemon juice<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tsp minced garlic<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1 tsp curry powder<\/li>\n<li class=\"ingredient\">1\/2 tsp turmeric<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"instructions\">Instructions<\/h4>\n<div class=\"instructions\">\n<ol class=\"instructions\">\n<li>Rinse quinoa and put in a saucepan with 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil, lower heat, cover\u00a0and simmer until water is absorbed (10-15 minutes).<\/li>\n<li>Cut beans into 2-inch pieces and steam\u00a0for 2-3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Whisk together all the dressing ingredients and salt and pepper to taste in a small bowl.<\/li>\n<li>Stir together quinoa with all the other ingredients and dressing.
