Meet Josie

Blog world, meet Josie. This should tell you most of what you need to know about my child.

Lest you think I’m a bad mother (probably too late for that) let me try to defend myself. The rain jacket was new and I thought she would test it out by letting a little water fall on the outside of the jacket. I didn’t really expect her to have it shoot inside and run down to her boots or, for god sake, into her mouth.

Yes, she did get sick the next day (big surprise).

I love starting my Monday morning laughing out loud! This is hysterical… in a good way. Thank you so much for sharing this. I love it.

oh the different ways that I love this. The walking by folks who have to stop and watch for a while, the site of you standing there thinking “i don’t have a towel with me – this is going to be so much fun to deal with…” and her perfect aim at getting the water stream right at the side of her neck where it can run straight down to the ground inside the coat. Thanks Katherine!

I love that you let her experiment, play, explore the way you did. Like Tami says, it will serve her well.

So, Paul fwded this to his teams at work, and I just about cried I laughed so hard! My 3 year old (Julian) is clearly a mach made in heaven for Josie. Enjoy!

Hi Ellen. Did you read the post about how Paul whistles in his sleep? I’m sure he’d be super-psyched for his co-workers to read all about it.

My friend this is what life is about…you know the seizing the moment and smelling the flowers stuff. I am inspired! Now where the hell is my raincoat? See you at the frogs in about an hour….

Hey lady – I followed the link from your FB and subscribed to your blog feed. So, so, so, so, so funny! Oh man, I love how she just stood there and let it run down her coat. Wouldn’t that be so cold? What a riot!

Hilarious. Instead of testing the efficacy of the rain jacket she finds the one point of failure and exploits it.
I also love that she giggles when you say “if you drink any more water we’re going to have to go” Typical.
Thank Paul for sharing this with us.

i’m obviously coming late to this party…but I just have to say…we have the same child. Joseph (who we sometimes call Josey, eerie I know) did exactly the same thing. Actually, he’s done it multiple times. Someone once remarked to us about Joseph, ‘He EATS life’. That is clearly what your Josie is doing here.
